IN A GALAXY FAR AWAY...

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away .... the fate of civilization itself hangs in the balance.  After a millenium of peace, the Galactic Republic once again faces its ancient and most dire enemy, the Sith Empire.  Defended by the renowned force-wielding Jedi Order, the Republic valiantly stands against the Sith onslaught.  Yet, bolstered by dark powers, the Sith relentlessly seek to conquer all that lies in their path.  It is in this time of peril that the Republic dispatches Aurora Force, a legendary legion of its finest soldiers and Jedi, to turn the tide of battle and restore order throughout the galaxy once again.

"Mayday ... Mayday ... Mayday"

Enroute to the planet Tython in search of new adventures, the military ship upon which you have sought transport has come under attack. The ship shudders violently under the disruptor fire of nearby Sith destroyers. The situation is quite dire.  Through the choking smoke filling the bridge, you hear a Republic officer's voice  ...

"This is Commander Horatio Bloom of the Republic Cruiser 'Aventine'. We are under attack.  I repeat, we are under attack.  Three Sith Star Destroyers have emerged out of hyperspace in the Tython System. Our shields are down and we have sustained severe damage to our ... "

In a flash of light, the bridge takes a direct hit. Past the exploding consoles and showers of sparks, you see Commander Bloom now lying dead on the deck floor. The ship pitches wildly to port and, with horror, see it plunge towards the planet's atmosphere.  As the klaxon to abandon ship sounds, you decide it is time to leave... 

"One moment, sir.  Sir?!  Wait, sir...wait"

As you turn to leave two droids block your path.  One is a tall silvery protocol model.  The other a small, blue, spherical R5 unit.  The protocol droid waves his mechanical arms as he talks.

"Sir, we are receiving an incoming priority one holonet transmission from Republic Command on Corruscant. Data transfer is complete and security codes have been verified. Sir, the message is for you.  You are receiving orders.."

Before you can protest, the R5 unit emits a holographic projection in your path.  Indeed it is a message from the Republic.  You recognize the image of your former commanding officer.

"Captain, this is a priority communique that I trust will find you well.  Your 'retirement' from service to the Galactic Republic was premature. Our forces have come under attack by the Sith, and we need all available personnel to report for duty. By order of Repubic Command, you are directed to rendezvous with our operatives on Balmorra, there to join a special expeditionary force known as Aurora Force.  This is no usual outfit Captain, they are the best of the best. And I should add that your mission is highly classified. Serving the Jedi Council themselves, Aurora Force will lead missions to thwart the Sith and defend the Republic. Welcome back, Captain.  Good luck on your mission."

As  your sudden reinstatement with the Republic forces sinks in, the sound of the klaxon reminds you that destruction of the ship is imminent.  Reaching an escape pod, you push your new-found droid companions inside, strap into a seat, and punch out.  As the pod hurdles towards the planet, you realize that your fortunes are at a crossroad. Will you stand by as the Sith defeat the Jedi, or worse, join them in their misdeeds?  Or will you help the Republic restore peace and order, and save the galaxy once again?

Aurora Force, legendary defenders of the Galactic Republic, await your decision.  Make the right decision, we know you will...
